About

Κεφι - A Greek word referring to joy or enthusiasm in life.
This blog was born as a byproduct of burnout. Or something like that.

My first posts originate from my study abroad experience, then titled Abenteuer in Deutschland, to discuss my travels in Germany. As my trip came to a close, I decided to re-brand and re-utilize this space to document my progress in Russian, Arabic and German, as well as to delve into other aspects of travel and translation. However, as my university career drew to a close, I sought to reconnect with my passions in life, especially during the dreaded college-to-career transition.

As I took a leap into adulthood - from student to graduate I found myself making lists, rekindling old affairs withe web development and art.

Thus the Catching Kefi appeared as an outlet to explore my interests - career and otherwise - and share my findings with others. Currently I am working towards my career goals using my multifaceted tool set.

Here you'll find all the shades of life. From translation and foreign literature, to travel experiences and my work in web development; there will be language learning discoveries and challenges, and online courses. I hope, too, I can pool my creative works into this space, to keep friends and family updated, to befriend strangers, and perhaps if not aid them, entertain.
